While we did not lose our property, the Palisades fire still changed our community overnight. We’ve felt the impact as friends and neighbors relocated, and our hearts are heavy for those who lost homes—and especially for the life that was lost. In response, we’re focused on showing up with spiritual support and practical relief, helping people stay connected, find hope, and access real resources as the community rebuilds.

Joe & Cyndi Ramirez serve as the pastors of La Cruz, a welcoming community centered on Jesus and rooted in the hope of the Cross. While both maintain full-time work outside of ministry, they serve because they feel deeply called to share the Good News and create space for worship, prayer, and meaningful connection. They’re also a local family—parents to a 14-year-old daughter who attends Pali High—and at home they’re kept entertained by their two cats racing around the house. Joe and Cyndi lead with warmth, authenticity, and a heart for people, helping build a community where anyone can come as they are and take a step forward together, centered on the Cross.
